I picked up this Voyage Sauvignon Blanc because I thought it would pair really well with the shrimp dish (and it totally does!). I’m a white wine girl, so I always look for tasty Sauvignon Blancs; the Grocery Outlet had a great selection! I can’t wait to try the other wines I picked up.

This Creamy Pesto Shrimp Pasta is so good and so easy. We actually picked up one of these containers of Basil Dried Tomato Pesto the last time we stopped over at Grocery Outlet. I’ve been using it in so many places – on grilled cheese sandwiches, just simply served over pasta, with crackers and cheese, so many options.
So, I decided to make up a really quick and easy recipe using this pesto. Now, selections vary by store, so if your store doesn’t have this exact pesto, don’t fret, you can use another pesto. Or, you can use homemade pesto; I saw all the ingredients to make your own pesto at the Grocery Outlet too.
Creamy Pesto Shrimp Pasta
The sauce on the Creamy Pesto Shrimp Pasta is a nice rich creamy and full flavored sauce. The bell pepper pieces are a nice light bright note with the creamy sauce (which by the way they have a wonderful produce selection there). And that pretty green pasta you see in the pictures, I found that at Grocery Outlet too. It’s Wild Garlic Egg Noodles! Awesome!

- 1 (6 ounce) container prepared pesto, or ¾ cup
- ¾ cup vegetable broth
- 3 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes
- 1 lb frozen peeled deveined tail off shrimp, defrosted according to package directions
- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 yellow bell pepper, finely chopped
- 12 ounces pasta, cooked according to package directions
- Place pesto, broth, and cream cheese in a medium saucepan, and cook over medium heat, stirring until cream cheese melts and the sauce is nice and smooth. Stir in defrosted shrimp to coat shrimp with the sauce.
- Pour shrimp and sauce over cooked pasta, and sprinkle with red and yellow pepper pieces.
