For Super Bowl 2013 I went simple, traditional, and mostly recipes I’d made before. This type of menu could work for any party as it was easy on the hosts and super tasty.
super tasty and mega-healthy, this marinara sauce is made in the crock pot, so it’s also really easy
In these days of too much to do, too much stress, and too much heavy party food, I thought I’d share this healthy time saving dinner. You can throw all the ingredients in the crockpot in the morning, head out for some holiday shopping, and when you get home, dinner’s ready.

Unprocessed October. It means I’m not eating foods that were processed by a manufacturer, a processing plant, or a restaurant. I can still eat cooked foods, but it has to be cooked by a person, not a company.
As part of Unprocessed October, I’m going to try to post each day’s meals. Maybe this is partly to keep me honest. Maybe this is partly to let everyone know how easy (or difficult) this will be. I’m trying to be realistic, and I know that I may not post every day or I may forget to take pictures.
The great thing about serving dinner to a bunch of guys is that they’re so happy to be getting food. Doesn’t really matter what the food is, or how it looks, they’re happy. I think guys just like being taken care of. I cooked for seven guys for my brother-in-law’s bachelor party. It was a great group of guys who just like having fun. Thanks for letting a girl into the mix! Here’s the menu and a few notes about the food.
